Mighty Bear Prints proudly presents its second signature youth Strongman contest:
World's Strongest Trick-or-Treater!
 
This Halloween-themed show features five fun Strongman favorites dressed up in spooky season style. The event fee is $35 and covers participation, athlete t-shirt, trick-or-treat swag bag, Strongman book and a Ferris wheel ride.

Event #1 Tombstone Husafell to Farmers Handles Carry Medley
Athletes will carry a custom made wood-framed "tombstone" Husafell-style 10 yards out, and farmers handles 10 yds back. 60 second time limit. 
 
Event #2 Dead Man's Go-Kart Deadlift
Athletes will square off head-to-head as they take Go Karts (complete with skeleton drivers) for a bumpy ride in the deadlift frame. Must wait for judge's down signal. Max reps in 30 seconds.
 
Event #3 Heavy Duty Trick-or-Treat Wagon Load-and-Go
Welcome to Trick-or-Treating Strongman style. Athletes will load slam ball "candy" into a large garden cart, pull it to the next stop and repeat until all six are loaded and the cart crosses the finish line. 60 second time limit. 
 
Event #4 Frankenstein's Power Scares
What's Frankenstein's favorite Strongman event? The Power Scares! Athletes will load a duck walk style T-bar implement up three 12" stairs for time. Clock stops when both feet reach the top step. 60 second time limit.
 
Event #5 Pumpkin Monster Dumbbell Press
Athletes will press a weighted pumpkin bucket dumbbell from the shoulder straight overhead with one hand. Must wait for judge's down signal. Max reps in 30 seconds.
 
Event demos will be posted on the Mighty Bear Instagram as equipment is finalized so make sure you're following @mightybearprints and feel free to message or email paige@mightybearprints.com with any questions. 
 
Spectators are FREE. Bring the whole fam, friends, Uncle Fester, everybody. 
 
EVENT SCHEDULE 
 
8:00–8:45 am
Athlete Check-In at the Mighty Bear tent. Please plan to arrive by 8:30 at the latest so check-in is completed by 8:45. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate late arrivals.

Rules Meeting, Event Demos, and Group Warm-up
 
9:00 am  
Contest starts. Events will be run on a rolling schedule as efficiently as we can with multiple age groups completing different events simultaneously where possible. Athletes will not necessarily do the events in the order listed. Awards and group photos to follow.
 
DRESS CODE
 
Costumes ENCOURAGED!
Do keep in mind though:
Wear athletic shoes.
Shorts/leggings under dresses.
No floor length skirts or capes; make sure you can move safely without tripping.
No masks or gloves; gotta make sure you can see what you're doing, breathe easily, and have full grip strength.
No super bulky padded suits or loose accessories. All giant muscles must be your own.
Costumes may get dirty or damaged while competing.
No tacky allowed! :]
 
VENUE 
 
Nestled just off Loop 1604 and NW Military, Elsewhere Too is a wonderfully imaginative outdoor space full of unique features. Beer garden and restaurant on one side, giant greenhouse and Ferris wheel on the other. And yes, of course, registration includes one free Ferris wheel ride. Their menu is stacked with burgers, chicken sandwiches, seasoned fries and plenty of other post-comp goodness to enjoy under their covered patio tables (complete with misting fans!).
 
VENDOR VILLAGE TENT-OR-TREAT
 
After the athletes finish up, they can grab their swag bags and "tent-or-treat" their way around a small vendor village of area gyms and combat sports clubs that will be set up representing a cross-section of local strength opportunities. They'll all have goodies to hand out and many offer free trial classes. Hopefully you'll find one near you that sparks your strong kid's interest!
